GBCGAC provides door-to-door transportation for people who are elderly and/or disabled so they can access our Adult Day Health Programs.

GBCGAC Transportation Division provides daily rides to and from GBCGAC’s Adult Day Health Programs.  Secure, reliable transportation services represent an essential gateway for elderly of all abilities to access their day programs.

With safety, reliability, and commitment as our highest priorities, all drivers are professionally qualified and certified in First Aid and CPR.  Each vehicle is equipped with GPS monitoring to keep drivers and vehicles safe and to maintain real time location.  GBCGAC is committed to safety and keeps all Transportation Division policies and procedures current and relevant.

Reasonable Modification of Policies and Practices

GBCGAC will make every attempt to make reasonable modifications to their policies, practices and procedures to avoid discrimination and ensure programs and services are accessible to all individuals.  The modification may require advance notice; but when feasible, GBCGAC will maintain flexibility in handling requests only practicable on the spot.

  • Requesters must describe what they need to use the service.
  • Requesters do not need to use the phrase “reasonable modification.”
  • Requesters may call 617-792-8162 or ask their driver for the spot requests.

GBCGAC Title VI and ADA

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibit discrimination based on race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency), disability for programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance.

Any person who believes him/herself or any specific class of persons, to be subjected to discrimination prohibited by Title VI (race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency) or the ADA (disability) may him/herself or his/her representative file a written complaint with GBCGAC.  A complaint must be filed no later than 180 days after the date of the alleged discrimination, unless the time for filing is extended by GBCGAC.
