JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Develop, implement and monitor nutrition interventions and outcomes by conducting nutrition counseling with medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to home bounded clients on nutritional principles, elderly nutrition, diet modifications, food selection and preparation.
- Develop, present, and evaluate evidence based nutrition education to clients at congregate sites.
- Develop educational and program materials in English and Chinese in print, on company websites, and social media platforms.
- Coordinate activities, promotion and distribution for special nutrition projects such as Senior Farmers Market program.
- Work with the Nutrition Manager and Head Chef to create a monthly menu and design, develop, standardize new recipes.
- Conduct nutrition analysis of the monthly menu on Computrition and comply with nutrition requirements from the state.
- Work with the chef to create monthly breakfast and snack menus for Adult Day Health (ADH) Program to meet CACFP nutrition requirements.
- Oversee nutrition assessment and supervise nutrition case assessors.
- Monitor daily meal quality and quantity for home delivered and congregate meals.
- Oversee the annual customer satisfaction survey and report the result to the Nutrition Director and state.
- Provide food safety training to program staff and new hire.
- Conduct kitchen inspection, including the central kitchen, congregate, ADH sites and contractor kitchen.
- Represent the Nutrition Program with the participation in community events.
- Attend required state and local meetings, seminars and nutrition-related events.
- Produce monthly reports of nutrition services and congregate site activities.
- Produce reports to state and local, include menu specification checklist, home visit tracking, nutrition education result and lesson plan.
- Assume projects and additional responsibilities as designed by the Nutrition Director.
REQUIREMENTS: Require Bachelor’s degree in dietetic or nutrition plus one-year related experience. Dietetic Registration required. Dietitian Nutrition licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Chinese fluency.
