Hot Chinese-style meals are served at the Center’s 3 sites and delivered to homebound clients. A typical meal contains a meat or vegetarian entrée, cooked vegetables, rice, a fresh fruit and a cup of low fat milk.
Our meals are moderate in fat and sodium while provides adequate calories and nutrients. Each meal contains at least 1/3 of the current Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) as established by the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Science. The food safety of the home delivered meal is ensured during transportation by experienced deliverers and thermal bags usage.
Chefs, Registered Dietitian, and Nutrition Manager all work together to plan the menu monthly and oversee the safety and quality of each hot meal produced by our kitchen.
