Lifeline is a personal emergency response system that allows an elder experiencing a medical emergency to activate a device that transmits a message to a monitoring station.  The monitoring station is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by trained attendants who receive and process the emergency call and ensure the timely notification needed to dispatch appropriate individuals and/or emergency services to the person in need.
